Autumn For All...

The Autumn is coming! The nights are drawing in now and as we lose the daylight and the temperature drops, here's what I'll be up to!   Yorkshire Sculpture Park here I come! As the days shorten through October and November, here in Yorkshire, I try to make the most of the precious day light and get outside. Taking time to absorb the beauty of Autumn and appreciate the vivid autumn colours whilst they are with us.  Embrace life indoors and be creative. Kirkstall Art Trail & Other Travels.

This month saw the return of the annual Kirkstall Festival and then the Kirkstall Art Trail. These are two great events held in the Kirkstall area of Leeds. The Festival is the biggest community run festival in England and it has been going for decades. It has a parade, dog show, music stages, comedy, stalls, games, rides and even a tea dance and canoes - all crammed into the abbey grounds - we had a fantastic time! Kirkstall is also home to an Art Trail which has run for several years and is hugely popular amongst the local and...

What I Think About When I'm Not Thinking About Football or Art...

So the football season is well and truly over and life's other distractions can take over for a few short weeks. A moment to draw breath and look about us before the next season, with all it's excitement arrives! So, I was thinking about things other than football and here are some of highlights, in no particular order!   Posca pens - these are great art pens - they're my favourite art thing - I know I said not thinking about football or art, but that's not really possible. Waterslides & roller coasters - they please my inner-child. Joe Strummer's...
