Travel On My Mind ...

Having settled back at home after our summer of day trips and travels, I find that I have travel on my mind again. Specifically a trip to Japan. Japan, it’s art, culture, place and people have always fascinated me and I’d love to visit. But, I live on the other side of the world, in Yorkshire, so it’ll need a lot of saving up to get there. Despite the difference in languages, culture and the massive physical distances, I love that there are also similarities. Yorkshire and Japan a both hilly and cold at times, they've produced great literature and...

Kirkstall Art Trail & Other Travels.

This month saw the return of the annual Kirkstall Festival and then the Kirkstall Art Trail. These are two great events held in the Kirkstall area of Leeds. The Festival is the biggest community run festival in England and it has been going for decades. It has a parade, dog show, music stages, comedy, stalls, games, rides and even a tea dance and canoes - all crammed into the abbey grounds - we had a fantastic time! Kirkstall is also home to an Art Trail which has run for several years and is hugely popular amongst the local and...

Waterslides & roller coasters - they please my inner-child. Joe Strummer's...

Happy New Year 2024 to you all! It's quite likely that you've (like me) been enjoying the dubious pleasures of the 100 day cough! It may have been a virus or possibly three, according to my doctor! Either way, it has finally done one and I now feel that I can look forward to the year ahead, or what's left of it!   So here's what I'm planning for this year: Ongoing work on the LUFC murals and a new mural project is on the books for 2024. We'll be adding more of my 200+ paintings for sale on the...

March Murals....

If you follow me on Instagram you'll have noticed that for the last few months my feed has been full of the mural work I'm doing at Elland Road the home of LUFC. I've been having a fantastic time, working in collaboration with the artist and author Rob Endeacott and between us we're once again transforming the East Stand stairwells with our Leeds United themed murals, featuring players from the past and present. You can see it all here, on my Instagram feed. If you're interested in taking a look at my LUFC inspired art, you can view it here:...
